Delaware has a strong history of backing the arts and culture and on August 2nd, 2023, more than 60 stakeholders gathered in Milford, Delaware, along with the Delaware Arts Alliance to mark the start of community engagement efforts for the “Creative Economy and Cultural Tourism Recovery and Growth Plan” initiative.

Attendees, including several state and local policymakers, highlighted the arts significance in promoting tourism, economic growth, job creation, health, education, and community progress. They united to encourage artists, creative businesses, and art enthusiasts to participate in a comprehensive survey until October 15th. This survey will provide essential quantitative and qualitative data for the project. The ongoing press coverage and increasing media support for this statewide initiative are presented below.
