How We Serve Our Members

We connect members with key public officials.

Our public officials need to hear about the impact your organization is making in Delaware. We amplify your voice by leading arts advocates to the capitol to help our officials understand how the sector impacts the economy, education and quality of life in Delaware. We lobby for decisions and initiatives that support the arts and arm our public officials with impactful stories from your community.

We provide civic engagement training.

Every member of your organization—your staff, board, donors and beneficiaries—has the potential to be an arts advocate. Advocates stay up to date on issues that impact the sector and actively speak up to communicate the benefits of the arts. When you mobilize arts advocates, you directly impact the future of the arts in Delaware and the success of your organization.

We assist with custom advocacy plans.

The impact your organization makes needs to be in front of key decision makers on a regular basis to maintain awareness of the importance of the arts. We help you develop advocacy materials that highlight the social, economic and quality of life impact of your organization. And we help you develop an advocacy plan that engages your board, staff and constituents in advocacy.

We act as your eyes and ears.

It’s not easy to keep track of the activities happening at the state and federal levels that impact the arts. That’s why we are regularly present at Legislative Hall, monitoring arts-related bills, public policy initiatives and funding decisions for you. We also participate in a national network of our counterparts in every state to stay on top of what’s going on nationally that will impact arts in Delaware.
