Upon signing up as a member of DAA, you will be asked to commit to carrying out two acts of advocacy in support of the arts in Delaware, which correlate to the list you see below. These are all very simple tasks, which many of us already do in our day-to-day lives. The idea is to see how easy it is for you to help keep the arts and arts education strong in the First State!
DAA Acts of Advocacy Pledge
I pledge to do my part to help fulfill the mission, vision, and goals of our state’s only arts advocacy organization. DAA is the unifying voice for the arts and arts education throughout the state, advocating for the central role of the arts in advancing dynamic communities and a creative citizenry.

A – I will recruit two new members to DAA. Member Recruitment
B – I will serve on a DAA committee or working group. Committee Involvement
C – I will write an arts advocacy letter or email to a state legislator(s). Advocate to Delaware Legislator(s)
D – I will connect with my local legislator to get her/his position on the arts and promptly share that information with DAA in writing. Engage Delaware Legislator(s)
E – I will write an arts advocacy letter to the editor for my local paper. Advocate to Delaware Media
F – I will attend an arts advocacy event in my county, and encourage others to join me. Attend Delaware Arts Advocacy Events
G – I will attend three-four arts events in Delaware. Attend Delaware Arts Events/Venues
H – I will purchase artwork made by Delaware artists. Purchase Artwork by Delawareans
I – I will encourage an arts organization to promote DAA to its supporters. Advocate to Arts Organizations
J – I will follow DAA on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Follow DAA on Social Media
K – I will make a financial contribution to support the efforts of DAA. Contribute to DAA
L – I will make a donation to DAA and/or Delaware arts organizations I support. Contribute to Other Delaware Arts Organizations
